On Thursday, I am going on a field trip to Caral, which is the oldest city in America (continent). It is located 200 km at the north of Lima. So, basically, I´ll be watching these ancient ruins from close-up and trying to get good photos. This Friday, I´ll tell you more about this place. Luckily, we´ll be there just one day. Even though I am not exactly pumped up, I still want to go. It takes like two ours to get there, though it´s worth it. Peru does have several touristic attractions. Apart from unique natural resources. If it weren´t for them, our economy would be fucked up. Anyhow, since I don´t know much about this place, it is hard to tell how much I will enjoy this trip. Whether or not to about overzealous about visiting such an attraction is up to people. Nonetheless, I´d suggest you do that before you get to know Machu Picchu and Nazca Lines. I know I bleat about how crappy public transport (among other stuff) in this country. However, there is a few things a appreciate about it. One is its food, and the other one is obvious (places to visit).  Besides, I don't want to dispel your enthusiasm if you want to come here. If you do, I´d told you to beware of pickpockets. Despite the fact that there is a few, you gotta be careful. Some exclusives parts of Lima for instance, have better security. Notwithstanding, there are other parts which do not have that much safety measures. Moreover, from the outset of time, there has always been at least a bit trouble anywhere you go. Our substrate may be blessed, our people are not though. Ignorance remains in our society as if it were a zit in someone's face. It seems as if local authorities were to rely on attrition to remain in power. Indeed, those things happen. You don't need rumor-mongers to see that. Albeit, there are also people like me, who wake up in the wee ours and never lose hope. Maybe my city is not exactly burgeoning. Barring problems though, it has progressed at slug's speed. I won't blind myself with sophistry. Although, any kind of progress invokes positivism in me.
